The Farm
I liked to go to a farmland close to my home. A variety of vegetables and rice was cultivated by the farmers. It was beautiful and spectacular. It was like the patchwork---colorful and harmonious. What an amazing view it is! You could also see the clear river, and there were the tadpoles swimming in that. When I closed my eyes, I could hear the birds, frogs and crickets singing together. (Maybe there were some animal that I never know.)At the same time, the wind carried flowers’ fragrance to me. I thought that I was like a princess, and everyone loved to please me. I was enjoying the nature chorus and perfume. There’s no place in the world like the farmland can make me feel comfortable. Although I was indeed a child, I still had a lot of pressure and complicated problems to handle. Whenever I had a bad mood, I would go there as soon as possible. To me, the place was so private that I could take a break to make me energetic. But it is change now.
The farmlands become the building. The river is not here anymore, and so do the tadpole. The birds don’t want to come here. The wind can’t bring the perfume for me. unique culture
To celebrate all kinds of festivals, people in Taiwan love to have a lunch or dinner together. Like wedding and funeral is a good time to let the whole family and friends to get together. The most special part is the place people have a dinner party. It is not at a restaurant or someone’s home. This party always holds on the street. You don’t misunderstand. We are really have a lunch outside. People build a canopy with canvas and iron tube for temporal purpose. Yes. It is the party place. That is the unique culture by the name of “Ban-Juo” (辦桌) in Taiwan.
Generally, you may not know who will sit near by you. That is the reason why I don’t like the situation like that. When I have a lunch with strangers, l always feel uncomfortable. People with bad table manners will make me lose my appetite. In addition, I can’t have a lunch without air-container in summer. And it is the thing “Ban-Juo” won’t have. You have to eat your food and wipe your sweat at same time. What’s worse, the surrounding will become very dirty.
There is no denying that it has some drawbacks. However, we can’t overlook its advantage. When strangers sit down together and have lunch, they may make friends with each other. There is a kind of human touch. Besides, open areas allow people to talk freely as well as sing happily. What’s more, people will get high because of the free and easy atmosphere. I think it is a way that our ancestors teach us descendants to keep in touch and maintain the relation ship with each other. We have to pass down the culture. I hope our ancestors’ wise can be passed down.

After see those picture and listen to those sound-recording, you will correct pronouncing. Make some exercise with mirror, and you can pronounce confidently next time.
After you pick up how to pronounce a vowel, there are some common errors you must to note. Like the different extension of tongue will lead to error pronounce. If you want to speak English fluently, you have to notice the details. Finally, you can make some exercise. Those exercises will help you to distinguish the vowel which is similar. Like “sleep” and “slip” is too similar to discriminate for Taiwanese. You should practice a lot.

It’s me.
Do you want to know about me? I will tell you. My name is Freda. I’m a sophomore in YZU now. At the first sight, people classify me as the kind of person who is clever and always wants to get the first place in the class. How boring the girl is. But later they will find out that I’m not the kind of person if they get to know me. I like making friends, attending activities and laughing.
Making friends is not only the way to open my mind, but helping me increases any kind of knowledge. Making various friends will be a positive consequence. I can learn a lot of advantage from them, and reform the weakness they have. Attending activities is a way to know lots of people.
I love to cheer people up. It seems that smile is my thing. Smiling is my energy. Although I’m not a person who is constantly the center of attention, I think I’m a fresh girl. And I enjoy the feeling to make everyone happy, especially those I love.
What exactly makes me laugh a lot? I think that’s food. I love any kinds of desserts. When the sugar melts in my mouth, I can hear the voice from heaven. For me, desserts are the gift which is sent by god. God gives us the gift to let us experience what happiness is. So, I hate the people who waste food. And I hope they will be punished. On the other hand, we can realize that. Rome is not built in one day. The molten sugar is change into fat. That’s me. I’m a fat girl who is extremely happy and lively.

In Taiwan, night market is a familiar thing. Some of them gather by the side of your home. They are usually a small one, and they include nothing special. Some of them are big enough to attract people in other area to find out how special it is. Certainly, they big night market has their own position in night market part. If they don’t find out what type they are, they will be eliminated. Chung-Yuan night market is the latest sightseeing night market.
It is often introduced by television show. Like Mr. Queen and Tsung-Shau-Bau(蔥燒包) are popular shop. Mr. Queen is a modern tea shop. It sells very kids of tea, and pearl milk tea is its hot goods. Tsung-Shan-Bau is a good choice for foreign traveler. It is a characteristic food in Taiwan. I think people can’t find it in other country. Besides, there are other good choices. Like Chou-Tou-Fu-Bau is my mom’s favorite dish. It maybe smells not good, but you will love it after you try it. It is a little spice. I think winter is the most suitable season to eat it. It will make your body warm. The delicacies are too many to introducing. You have better to find out the most like food by yourself.
If you are full with hunger satisfied, you can let your feet take break and see the second-run movie. It is cheap. You can spend little money to see two movies. I think that is a good choice to kill time. If you want to take a walk for digesting what you eat. You can walk around in Chung-Yuan-Christian University. That will be a best ending for this trip.

Lavender cottage is a regular chain and leisurely farm. Today, I’m will introduce the one which is located in Jiou-Shr, Shin-Chu. In the way to lavender cottage, you may be more and more hesitant. Does there really have a leisurely farm? Do we lose our way? Can we climb the slop?
Yes! When you first go to this lavender, you may be scare by the secluded and rough way. But, till you arrive at lavender cottage, you will think that is worthy. Lavender is an Arcadia. It is a place for taking refuge. There are many kids of beautiful flowers and a lot of different form chair. You can find out a place you love to take a brake in the nature.
In addition to, lavender cottage have many theme artificial landscape and theme activities. Like wish tree and telephones are the theme artificial landscape. Of course, there are many other beautiful spots which will occupy your camera’s memory. Theme activities will change with time. Like “dream come true plan” is carrying out.
Absolutely, lavender cottage have its own souvenir store and restaurant. After all, it is a profit seeking enterprise. In the souvenir store, you can find out a lot of goods which is organic. I think that is a special souvenir store. I almost take my wallet off when I walk around the store. The restaurant has so many dishes which is in connection with lavender. I think it is a good place for family and lover.

Nei-Wan is a good scenic spot.
There are an old type of train station and an antique path. Not only foreign travelers like to take picture with them, Taiwanese like to do it too. When you come into the little train station, you will feel that the time come back to several years ago. I think that is the little train station’s glamour.
Besides, the antique path is full of many interesting things. There is a restaurant which is rebuilt by a theater. The theater is divided into two parts. One is dining hall, the other is souvenir store. The dining hall is in the movie house. You can enjoy your meal with the old movie. That will be a unique experience. In the other hand, souvenir store specially sell the old fashion things. Like retrospective pictures and fans are the popular goods. Certainly, there are a large number of not-for-sale items. It not only can help the people in the age to re call some time ago, but also take the other people to realize how former Taiwan is.
If you don’t like to lounge about the streets, you can have another choice in Nei-Wan. Nei-Wan is not merely having a archaic path. The clear brook and varied coffee shops becomes the other scenic spot. Briefly, Nei-Wan is a good place for any kids of people.Traffic: take train to Shin-Chu train station. Then, take the branch line to Nei-wan.
